TrU Leadership Changes and more

Hi everyone,

I have an important announcement regarding the future of the TrU community and the changes that are happening. As of today, I'm renouncing as your sole leader of TrU as new changes and new managers will be taking over to continue what I have loved for so many years.

TrU will NOW be under the watchful eye among a group of players, most of which you have got to know over time. I'm taking more of an adviser role as a Game Manager while we have 5 players taking over the realms as the new leaders of the TrU community. These new Game Managers consists of the following players:

Bullet_Bait, Texas118, Maaja, vVrinkl3, BlAzIn_BiAtCh, and myself



Yes, I will still be here but taking on a different role than I have in the past. I'll be in constant communication with the new managers to assist them in any way that I can moving forward. I ask that all the current members and regulars to join me in congratulating these guys as they are very much deserved in their new roles and will be conducting the changes in the days ahead, some of which you have already noticed with the new server ips. I have complete utter faith that these people can do the TrU name good and uphold what I've continued to work on for the past 7 years.

I’d also like to mention some other things along with this announcement:


End of the line for 2FORT
With the TF2 server failing with just over 2 months from the switch, it has been decided to go back to CS only. The 2FORT server has already had a cancellation request approved so this server will go off-line at any time.


NEW Replacement IP Servers
The new Dallas servers are up and running and have been posted. The servers are located back in Dallas, Texas on a network that has done us really well in the past. Let's hope those good times come rolling back. Please inform Andrew aka. Bullet_Bait of any server issues(lag, choppy, ping spikes etc..) so that he may get ontop of that. For those who missed the ip post, here it is again:

Part V: The Return of the Dust2Fest
Along with the new replacement ip servers, come the return of our CS:Soure DustFest server. I know what you may be thinking......The Return of the Dust2Fest? hehe Star wars joke intended but probably a fail lolol.

Anywho, this server was extremely fun at its prime, so who can blame us for wanting that fun to be relived. The IP to the DustFest server:

All Current and Future Donators
All current donators will have to be cancelled and need to re-subscribe here due to account changes. Those who have been looking to donate, now is as good a time to do so while the new team is pulling out all the stops to ensure TrU goes on.

*Donators that have donator's benefits time left will be left unchanged, meaning your access will remain intact on the server(s) of which you sent your donation for until your time runs out.


Relisting the Members List
Just a heads up that Justin will be updating the members list to reflect only the current active members. If you feel like you're suppose to be on that list, please contact any of the new game managers.

With the announcement of such a big structural change, comes a change to the domains. Justin has been working hard on a design that should be completed soon which will be unveiled on the new domain when we officially re brand the TrU community with a new staff, new servers, new design and new website. Can it get any better than this?


Why I am doing this?
It has never been soo clear than it has been in the past weeks and months that a change was desperately needed. With my personal life situation the way it is, it has been extremely overwhelming over that period of time to maintain a lifestyle that is healthy for myself and for the better part of this TrU community. While I regret to say that I was unable to "lead" you guys in a way I know I am capable of, I am extremely happy and grateful to everyone that gave me the opportunity to play along side all of you and for you to call me your leader over a long period of time. You cannot imagine how that feels and I just want to say thank you again!

Please open your arms to the new managers and help them shape a new and better TrU in the coming days, weeks, months ahead.

We have survived, and we will continue to do so. I know these changes that have been listed will be for the better. It's a love/hate situation, congratulations to new management, but also it's sad certain changes are happening. All is for the best.

Congrats to the new leaders/management team of TrU. I do hope this turn around works out for the best and I have no doubt that you guys will do an awesome job carrying on the name of TrU.

I guess it's time to retire the alias Boss Lady™ seeing as how I am no longer the "boss's lady". Hahaha...womp womp. (Sorry Andrew, I don't think j1n would approve of me being your lady )

But TrU will always have my support and don't you guys worry...I'll still be lurking around here and there....muahaha

I would like to say big thank you to j1n for everything he has done over the past few years I have been a part of TrU, I will also say its a great honour (yes spelled the canadian way) to have been promoted to this position, and to be able to help guide TrU to where it needs to go.

Now for a few notes:

1. All current chicago servers will be offline December 24 (I think) Please save the new IP's to your favourites

2. Anyone who was donating previously I encourage you to renew your subscription, we have changed the paypal account to our own please visit http://truservers.net/admin-packages.html and select your package type, Your donations are what keep the community going, without them there would be no TrU.

3. Please do not hesitate to contact me or any of the game managers for anything, we are here to assist you in anyway we can. I have created a new email account through my ISP for the time being, I am dedicating this email address to the community so I can be reached at anytime the email address is truservers@rogers.com

4. I kindly ask for everyones patience and understanding, we are going through some big changes over the next few weeks, there may be a few kinks and hic-ups, we are doing our best to make this as smooth as possible for everyone.


I look forward to working with all of you, and I hope together we can grow TrU once again into the gamming force it once was.

As much as I hate to see this kind of change at the same time it's very refreshing. It brings that old excitement from back in the day. j1n you did a phenomenal job with Tru over the past 7 years and I truly bow and thank you for this. I know with the current managers that are here that things can only get better. New ideas, new brainstorms and most importantly new enthusiasm. It's a brand new day for tru and a bright one. Tru is like the phoenix it will never die!

So, what I wanted to say is j1n is not out od the picture. He's very much involved and especially with our relationship, I would not do this without him. Please thank him for all of his hard work and vision. He will be part of all of our decision making.

Yes, TrU will be going through some changes, but in a positive way. We need to evolve and get people excited about a community, no- a family of all different kinds of people with one common ground- TrU.
