To our beloved family and friends,


Almost 10 years ago a young man had a dream to unite players around the East Coast by opening a single Counter Strike server to enjoy a game he loved playing but had no idea that That one server would turned into a global community which fostered more than just a gaming community- it blossomed itself into a family whom hundreds of members can once proudly call themselves TrU members. Because of the dedication and uniqueness of each person who graced their presence in our server we were able to separates ourselves from all other communities. With the deepest sadness I am announcing today the permanent closer of our servers. This decision has to be one the hardest decisions the management members made as a group. We have fought to keep the servers open for the enjoyment of others, but we have humbly admitted defeat- for now. It’s without a doubt TrU has seen the very highs and lows in our many years which our servers have opened its arms widely to any players who respected our rule- play with respect for each other. TrU forever thanks everyone soul who has touched our community- we could never had made all the special memories without you. I hope we have done the same for you. If so, our goals were achieved.


My personal journey with TrU servers started back in 2003 when I was trolling around for a server that I could play in without being called a “noob” or “you suck.” Now, I can’t say that didn’t happen in TrUklan’s 24/7 NO AWP/AUTO server, but the people in there were so happy to play together that I thought there was something special about this server. I set it as my favorite and came back the next day and every day after. If you told me today that I would call some of these players- my family, I would have said you’re nuts- I think we know now I am the lucky one. I can go down the list of hundreds and tell you one thing about that player. Our Community has seen members and regulars grow from boys to men, from junior high to graduating college to marriage and starting a family and sadly death. We are grateful for each of your to allow us into your lives and share those special moments- Thank you again. I ask you, how many communities can boast those facts? Thank you KRz| Lamchops aka Lam who was the first to welcome me into the servers and Bill aka Kellendros who said- “I’ll join TrU if you joined”, well buddy- look how far we’ve come now.


Secret, Joel, Melly Jelly, Ryan (Phrozen), Orbital, Evil Sima,), Wakk0, Kevin, Hey (Eric), Maaja (::Wink:: =P)- I don’t need to say good bye because I know each one of you are forever etched in my heart and plus I’ll see you guys this summer.


To Andrew( Bullet_bait) and Andy (Vvrikl3)- my soul mates, the only two people that can truly cause my blood pressure to shoot through the roof and have me rage via vent like a mad person- I am grateful to God for showing me that friendship can develop anywhere and through any venue. Thank you.


To J1n aka Duy- Thank you for TrU. Take a moment and look at all the lives you have entwined and smile with pride. When you started TrU, you not only started just a clan, you started a family, a family whose roots are spread everywhere in the world. I thank you and we thank you.


We may have shut down the servers, but our Facebook community and website will be kept open for those who would still like to keep in touch. Maybe one day we’ll open our servers up again, but until then… NO SPAWN CAMPING!

Texas118 summed everything up pretty well. I just personally wanted to say thank you to everyone for an amazing run. I feel honoured to have gotten to know most of you, and proud I get to call you my friends, my family.

Thank you to all the admins we have had over the years, without your support and dedication TrU would never have grown to the level it did.


I'll still be on the forums and I am almost always on steam, if you see me in a server, come join me. I encourage all our members to continue to wear our tag, be proud of what you helped create. Remember once TrU always TrU.

This sucks, but it's been a pleasure getting to know all of you 1.6ers from 2002 till now. Been a great 9 years and a hell of an adventure.

I know I've moved on for a while, but it was great to meet a majority of you in Toronto.

The short time I was with this fine group of people, were indeed some of the best I have had gaming. Thanks to all who put in so much work throughout the years. And to all who kept the community whole. Who knows, maybe one of us will win the lottery and Tru will once again, reign the CS world!!

Hey guys. Some of you may not remember me, but I'm one of those who was lurking and active in this community from time to time over the last 5 years or more. The past is kind of a blur, honestly, and all of my crystal clear memories of TrU are fond ones. You've been in my thoughts and it's long overdue that at least acknowledge your positive impact on my gaming experience.

Sad to see this. I was 13 or 14 when I first found these servers way back when. TrU was the only "clan" or gaming community that I took pride in. The mix of personalities from the TrU guys to the kRz and everyone else was great. I will/do really miss playing with you guys. Wish I could have helped with time and money, but I have a 2 year old son now which presents its own challenges. Although CS is just a game, I have very fond memories of playing on these servers and will always remember the good times here. Best of luck to everyone here and I hope your futures are blessed and prosperous. Love you guys.
